PC-DC via Windows Online Connection Results

Post by Bob Dobbs »

Ok, here is the rundown:

1. PSO = Works perfect.
2. Max Pool = Works perfect.
3. XDP = Works perfect.
4. Starlancer = Connects, but I had no one to connect with.
5. 4x4 Evo = Cannot connect, the error message is useless.
6. Sega Swirl = Haven't tried.
7. Quake 3 = Haven't tried (I understand this is hostile).

4x4 is the one that is bothering me being it is a big reason why I did this. Anyone is welcome to chime in (hint, hint).

When Favernation and I tried this is what happened.

I could connect fine and got no error message, I was using a pc-dc server that was acutally running Linux.

Favernation got an error message.

So what he did was a direct connection to the ip addresses it gave me when I created a game.

Then it worked perfectly.

I would love to play 4x4 Evo or Star Lancer with you sometime!

Yeah you get an error but after about 5 minutes of trying to connect to the master list it will timeout and give you two options. Either to retry or direct ip. Says you can't chat without that but all u do is have someone host a game and when u host it tells u the ip:port and you just type that in. Works like a charm. Only thing is u have to wait 5 minutes to time out.
