Can PC-DC server work with router/wifi?

I know what to do to make a PC-DC server and I am waiting for my voice modem but will it work going through a router over wifi? I heard plugging it into a router will require port forwarding but I though WinRoute did that. Can anybody shed some light on this? Thanx

I hope it works, my PC is connected via wireless adapter about 5 feet away. My router's wired ports are all used.
