What I wanted to do was be able to plug one end of the Ethernet cable in the DC one in the Pi and use the Pi-wifi to connect, I wonder if this is possible..?
It is possible :)

About automate the commands, would remove just one step, in my point of view.

I have an enhancement on Dreamcast Now for BBA.

With the union of the resource "Pi Wi-Fi to Ethernet Repeater" ( https://bit.ly/3Fdj734 ) and this "Autonomous Dreamcast Now", now I have the BBA game being automatically detected according to the game used, without need to select from a list.

I agree. This will make people who have broadband adapters feel special. Driving Strikers will work with BBA, me and Scivani also got Quake 3 Arena to show up on Dreamcast now. Also I got WRP to work with broadband with the help of Scivani

This is what BBA Mode is looking like
bba_mode.PNG
It is possible to use in manual mode, or starting automatically with the system.

If enabled at startup, after a certain period of minutes to choose from, by default 5 minutes, if there is no modem connection, BBA Mode is triggered.

After that, only when a connection is established, Dreamcast Now starts.
Likewise, upon disconnection, Dreamcast Now is turned off.

The running game is properly identified in Dreamcast Now.

In this approach, the wi-fi present on the RaspberryPi is shared with the Dreamcast through the RaspberryPi LAN port, reaching the Dreamcast.

It is also possible to add a second USB Ethernet port, for a share that comes out of the original Raspberry LAN port, and from this another additional USB LAN port is sent to the Dreamcast.

If there is a dial-up modem connection in that chosen period, BBA Mode is canceled and the modem connection proceeds as normal.

Who qualifies to try the new version?

I am glad to say that you can now use you DreamPi with your BBA to show up on Dreamcast Now. Me and Scrivani did a little more testing today and got the game images to show up when you played a game online. PSO was the game giving use some trouble but Scrivani was able to solve it quickly! I just needed to change both my DNS to the same as my gateway address. Also Scrivani did a little tweaking but this (Dreamcast Now for BBA) works and I think this will benefit the Dreamcast community. Now the RaspberryPi can also be use with a BBA. I just want to add that I think it's important we keep supporting the BBA and make it more compatible with Dreamcast Website (The Dreampipes broadband adapter portal) that were only modem and other things that were only modem. Because I can use my DreamPi with my BBA I'll use it more to show up online :)

This is a great project and I'm pumped about the automation element of it. I employed a similar concept to this using a secondary Pi on my network that listens for my BBA to connect to the network and essentially captures the DNS requests from the BBA and automatically send the relevant command to DC now to update the site. Essentially achieving a similar work around.

My next step was to have it hunt down and listen for Sega specific MAC addys to listen to. Then maybe migrate it to the same dreampi image for an all in one solution.

Look forward to trying this out :)
