So I have good news and bad news.

GOOD NEWS
The PAL edition does include Net Functionality! At the bottom of the main menu is an Internet Features option. This will take you to a built in Dreamkey browser. The splashpage includes some promo art, the title "Sega Extreme Sports with 55DSL" and a broken image link to click on to log online and view the website. I'm guessing the image is on the disc but it's directory is mis-spelt or incorrectly defined.

Here's a video of the menu options and the browser (Sorry for phone, couldn't be arsed to set up my capture footage);

BAD NEWS
Hovering over the image link shows us the online directory the game tries to connect to, I have verified this link is http://www.dream-key.com/extremesports/index.htm
However putting this into Internet Archive shows that the entirety of http://www.dream-key.com is missing from the archive, and the link has been dead for years. I've chased up all the following links;
All three links show multiple redirects on Internet Archive, but none are actually backed up and stored there.

Anyone who can help me trace the remnants of this title's website I'd be most appreciative. Thank you dubcity for the find! I'd love to be able to get this title back online ^_^

::EDIT:: While trying to find other games that may include online functionality that have been missed, as Sega Extreme Sports has, I ran into this wiki page that states KISS Psycho Circus includes online modes. The only online mention on this forum I've found has been for the PC version. Does anyone know if KISS Psycho Circus on DC actually includes the online functions in any region?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_D ... line_games
It also mentions Soldier of Fortune has online modes. I've checked the US versions, I'm going to test PAL editions to verify there too.

::EDIT 2::
KISS Psycho Circus is not VGA Compatible in PAL.
I can verify Soldier of Fortune definitely does not have online modes in PAL.
I edited the Wiki page to remove them being listed as online compatible.

Just by chance I tested a US GDI of Xtreme Sports (known as Sega Extreme Sports in both Japan and Europe). The US GDI also includes an Internet Option.

Xtreme Sports US Online.jpg

It goes to a very different looking browser splash screen, using the standard US browser controls instead of the DreamKey ones. Unlike the PAL splash page, this one hides the location it's trying to dial. If I can get that link, I may be able to locate the surviving site. The PAL one was hidden behind a login wall, which prevented Internet Archives from saving it. It doesn't follow the usual URL pattern of http://score.sega.com/ as I've checked every available file under that URL.

Anyone able to help me out with the URL?

What kind of news? I think someone told me they'd already saved the website, which is why I haven't done it.

As for online multiplayer, that's gonna be one for the programmers and coders like Shuouma to answer. All I know is that it's been in the pipeline for a couple of years but that these things take a long time and lots of trial and error.

ADDED
Fur Fighters!
I've owned this game since 2000/2001 and somehow never noticed it had Online Functionality! :o
I haven't actually verified the PAL edition includes it yet, I will check in a moment, but the US edition (I'm using dubcity's GDI) does. Oddly it's hidden away in the Visual Options menu. Like most US titles, it hides the URL when you hover over it.

If anyone can verify what the URL was for the Fur Fighters website, that would help immensely ^_^ I love Fur Fighters, I can't believe I've missed this mode for so many years!

::EDIT::
I found the Acclaim website, though this appears to be the PC site rather than the DC site (Now verified to be the DC site too, link shown in PAL copy browser). Be warned, the PC link below seems to include a pop up add on Wayback Machine. It's easily avoidable by pressing ESC, but I will strip that out on a rebuild.
SITE: https://web.archive.org/web/20001013114 ... index.html

::EDIT 2::
PAL VERIFIED
Also verified the original link that the game tries to go to; http://acclaim.com/games/furfighters/html/index.html - the same address as via the official Acclaim website.

I tested Bust-A-Move 4, Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX, Ducati World, Jeremy McGrath Supercross 2000, NFL Quarterback 2000, NFL Quarterback 2001, Re-Volt, South Park: Chef's Luv Shack and South Park Rally - all Acclaim titles sold on DC - but none of them had a hidden internet mode like Fur Fighters. Fur Fighters may have had one due to the connection with Bizarre Creations.

LIST UPDATED - NEW TITLE FOUND
Exhibition of Speed (PAL) includes an ONLINE option on the main menu!
IMG_20210105_232012.jpg

The link goes to http://www.eosgame.com which cannot be found on Wayback machine by itself.
However I managed to find the PC website under the following link;
https://web.archive.org/web/20010505085 ... com:80/pc/
IMG_20210105_232018.jpg

There are several different pages, however it seems to use a cgi-bin format - a format I am unable to decipher and decode (I can do HTML and that's about it) so would need help getting the additional pages for this site. I did find this page, which appears to be Dreamcast only;
https://web.archive.org/web/20010512124 ... /post.html
This can be accessed by selecting POST TIMES from the main menu - suggesting that Exhibition of Speed supports Leaderboards!
IMG_20210105_232037.jpg

Anyone able to help me with the cgi-bin format (even if it's showing me how to handle the page information myself), please do help. ^_^

::EDIT:: Through the Titus website, Kao the Kangaroo and Roadsters are both shown too. Kao the Kangaroo's website is mostly missing artwork, but Roadsters seems pretty much complete. However, having tested the US versions of these games, there is no way to access the sites via the Dreamcast in-game. Thought I'd be clear that I did test them though. The Titus site is here;

UPDATE: Rayman 2 also has online functionality.

Don't know how I've missed this for so long, I knew Rayman 2 had a website, but didn't realise it was accessible from in-game. Been added to the list. I believe it's just a website, but until I locate it I can't be sure if it has leaderboards (I doubt it though).

Yes, I know about the site, I helped translate it. But I was more interested in the news about the online game, thanks!
