I made a Docker for creating a Quake 3 Arena server.

Online games, how to get online, and anything involving Dreamcast online can be discussed here.

I made a Docker for creating a Quake 3 Arena server.

Hello everyone !

I wanted to make a small contribution to the Dreamcast scene by creating a small Docker including what's needed to run a Quake 3 server, as painlessly as possible, based on the work of Fallout. It also includes updated masterservers.

That is not much, but if it can be helpful for some people...

Github link, instructions and help can be found at this address : https://github.com/Ch0wW/docker-quake3dc

Please note that I'm also running a FFA and TDM server. They are located in France.

I just updated the docker project. I modified the readme to become easier to understand, it fixes many issues (the most important being the server not seen by the masterserver), adds back bots support, and there's even a docker-compose file to make your servers easier to join.

Same link, as usual. All my servers are back.

Huge thanks for this! I just ordered the necessary hardware to get my Dreamcast online, and was immediately interested in hosting something. I'll be looking into running Quake 3 DC server from Finland :)
