Hi Jial, I'm glad I could help. If it is easy for you to put the World Time Trial course lists in alphabetical order and it won't cause slowdown on the website, I recommend doing so.
It's likely the Bizarre Creations logo on the MSR website took users to this page:
https://web.archive.org/web/20010607051518fw_/http://www.bizarrecreations.com/msr.htmlJust some minor notes below:
* Putting the UK version of the MSR website behind Dreamarena wall would force users to make an account. Therefore Sega Europe could state they have increased Dreamarena membership! This also coukd be applied to US users who wanted to view the leaderboards or upload their times.
* It is unlikely Sega added any further content to the MSR website. Search data from Wayback machine is around October / November 2001 and latest MSR News Update was February 2001. Japanese release was also cancelled in early 2001 along with the DC itself being discontinued.
* Ghost cars are more likely to crash if they are played across different versions of the game. For example, a ghost car created on the early PAL version (ringcode ending SS) is more likely to crash if raced on the final PAL revision (ringcode ending SB) or the US version. It also applies in reverse; ghosts cars created on the final PAL revision/US version will likely crash on the early PAL versions. That explains why the ghost cars/time trials from the old dcarena.de rankings. This would have had an impact on any official ghosts cars hosted on the MSR website.
PS It seems the US/Final PAL versions have some extra demos available (3 more in total). See the following picture for confirmation: Definitely no replay function however!
