Shenmue. The passport disc had a ton of features that are not replicated in the modern ports sadly.

IIRC correctly, there was a leaderboard for all the arcade games too

I have restored the US/UK website for TXR2 and it's hosted at http://txr2.atwebpages.com/
As far as I'm aware the entire website is just a homepage. If not, then the rest of the site is missing from the wayback machine.

Nice work Louis! Just discovered that the Napple Tale website was recovered by someone ages ago and is still online, with old Leaderboard info and all the DLC!

Anyone a fan of this should check it out - Japanese titles can still go online for webpages, just not for online play atm!

EDIT::
Added Napple Tale thanks to "Rolly"
Added Tokyo Xtreme Racer 2 thanks to "Louis012345678"
Added Fighting Vipers 2 thanks to "megavolt85"

Cracking stuff guys. Also been contacted by Xiden and I'm testing every game I can with the redirects, it appears Kazade may have finally implemented the redirects so hopefully we can get them to a final destination soon :D

Another update, just discovered that the team at Dreampipe have not only got Samba De Amigo back online, but the redirect works too! With all DLC. First post has been updated to account for this :D

There was indeed a leaderboard. Despite owning my copy since 2000 I've never bothered to check the Passport disc (The one time I did was back in 2000 and my net connection was so weak I couldn't use it to discover anything :( )

Checking it now it's fantastic. However I can't figure out if the browser/Homepage is working. It loads up a generic "SHENMUE.COM" splash page, but I can't make it even try and progress forwards. Makes it impossible to tell if the redirect from Kazade is in place or not.

This is what I have (there are some doubles in the list bear with me). Also, keep in mind that some folders contains sub folders within them. Most of them I crawled back in 2007 using the dreamcast browser's user agent, this way I could save the content made for the console (instead of the pc version).

There is a lot of work to get them up and running, is not easy fixing the links, grabbing any missing asset (sometimes way back machine works), etc. Sometimes I have more than 1 version of the website, for pc and dc for instance. That's why I stopped working on them, but I have around 80 fixed already.

The shenmue browser on the passport is not a traditional web browser. It has a proprietary function that will require some reverse engineering. I will say someone on the dreampipe team has made some significant progress on shenmue passport ;)

That's awesome! If you like you can send me the files and I can give it a bash and fixing up more of them would certainly save me time over trawling Internet Archive again for each site you've done. I've got some time ATM.

I can also upload/host the 80 complete sites too. Start getting them accessible again! :D

Hello guys.
Some time ago, in addition to Napple Tale (I can't restore the ability to upload results from Napple Tale), I also restored two pages: es and Blue Submarine no.6 Time & Tide.
They are on my server. If you would like to add them to Dreampipe - let me know ;)

es (with flash mini game) : http://sega.c0.pl/dricas/es.dricas.ne.jp/index.html
Blue Submarine no.6 Time & Tide (with bonus DLC) : http://sega.c0.pl/dricas/aono6gou.dricas.ne.jp/

Oh hi Rolly! That's awesome work! I'm so glad there are more people who've put the effort into the Japanese titles :D

I'll add Es and Blue Submarine to the completed list and if I can get access to upload the sites, then I'll take you up on that offer so we can pool all of the sites together. :D
