PSO Getting stated Guide for Newbs

Hello,

My friend and I recently picked up DreamPi's and have been successful at getting online with Quake 3, Frag Friday was great!

Now we're curious as to the best way to play PSO with a DreamPi. Is there a guide out there that steps you through the process? I just want to be sure we're able to join the other games we see in progress, thanks!

If you've already gotten Dreampi working, then the process is easy. Pretty much the only other thing you need is a boot disc.

Download imgburn and use it to burn the sylverant PSO patcher to a blank CDR (more detailed instructions are included with the download). Both can be downloaded at http://www.dreamcastlive.net/downloads.

Then put the boot disc into your Dreamcast, and swap it out for the PSO disc when asked. Press start when prompted to launch the game. Choose online game after picking your character, put in your serial and access (found in the PSO disc case) and it should connect.

Sylverant strongly suggests to have your own unique SNAK (serial number access key) and then you would be able to reg @ Sylverant and participate in the freeplay tracked kills events

Buy PSOv2, it must be a sticker and intact underneath the disc right where the disc sits

Get+burn Ives CDI there under Downloads, using torrent client

That auto-connects and fixes the filesort so your drive does not constantly make huge seeks does not sound like chainsaw! Playing with the GD is really damning
