Sorry to revive an old topic. Anthony817, did you complete your project, and how did you reroute the phone line to the inside of the console?

I ended up receiving a modded fax modem from pcwzrd13. I believe those versions are modded for US spec systems. Not sure what you have to do to get them working from PAL systems. You can buy them here.
