troubles with XDP

Recently, after much toiling and unexplained phenomena, I have managed to connect my dreamcast to the internet via dreampi. However, I have come across an issue that i cannot find any information on.
I primarily use XDP for web browsing and while this works fine for most websites (I assume that the lack of advanced formatting cannot be helped), for some websites I access, a pop-up message appears saying "do you want to display this insecure web page?". For some reason, there is no yes/no option, just an 'ok' button. pressing this stops the loading of the website. I don't know what causes these web pages to not work, and it seems inconsitent, as once it happened with google, but only once. this is also the case for dreampipe.net, which suggests that this is not just an issue with the browser in general. If I use planetweb, it simply says that the website cannot be loaded.

what is going on here?

Html standards have changed, if its not compatible you'll get one of those errors, XDP just acts like it can view it anyway but it cannot. I find most https sites are inaccessible sadly... Which page on dreampipe.net popped that error up? I have ftp access to that site and I can look into it.

it may have taken you to the http version instead of the https version. Haven't tried myself though
