- Windows, Linux
- Go to https://github.com/eosrei/twemoji-color-font/releases
- Download TwitterColorEmoji-SVGinOT-1.4.zip (There are OS-specific ones listed too, but the Windows one didn't work for Windows XP and Windows 7 for me as it expected Windows 8 or newer.)
- Extract TwitterColorEmoji-SVGinOT.ttf
- Install TwitterColorEmoji-SVGinOT.ttf (For example, in Windows copy it to "C:\Windows\Fonts\" or in Linux, copy it to "~/.fonts/" or "/usr/share/fonts/truetype/". You will probably require administrator's rights to do this.
- Debian-based Linux Derivatives (Such as Linux Mint or Ubuntu)
- Go to https://github.com/eosrei/twemoji-color-font/releases
- Download fonts-twemoji-svginot_1.4-1_all.deb
- Install fonts-twemoji-svginot_1.4-1_all.deb (For example, "dpkg -i fonts-twemoji-svginot_1.4-1_all.deb".)
Then go to
https://eosrei.github.io/emojione-color ... -demo.html to see if it worked. (Scroll to the bottom of the page to see the flags.) If it is not fully working, change the default or standard font in Chrome, Chromium, Firefox, Opera, Safari, etc. to use "Twitter Color Emoji."
