Trying not to create too much confusion, but my friend had the same problem yesterday. I had him setup on the Dreampi with his AT&T (DSL) service. We played online all day Saturday, but when he tried to connect Sunday, it didn't work. It would connect, but the 4 PSO squares would spin, them timeout with a can't reach the server issue.

It took me 2 hours of a lot of clearing and resetting up. I changed his SSID / password from the default to one that is easier to type and setup. Then cleared the WiFi confit on the Pi. After 6 attempts of clearing and inputting the new SSID, the DreamPi finally worked.

Also, I found it easier to test internet connection via the WebBrowser. If it connects and goes to the home page, then it should work on PSO.

Even pcwzrd13's tutorial shows that he used XDP to set up and test FIRST.

yes but he also said any browser will do i have xdp i used the planet web in it to set it up tho. and the same issue is with browsers it conects but cant load page

then your settings are most likely wrong somewhere..

cuz it aint cablevision/optimum and your hardware isnt broken..

There really isn't anything you can put in the browser settings that would cause it not to connect. You can put in just about anything and it will work. The only important setting is the DNS server but even that doesn't matter because it's ignored by DreamPi which uses its own DNS settings. Plus, he had it working previously and then it just stopped.

The only thing I can think of is an issue with his network/router. It's like the Pi is connected to his network but not to the internet.

Might consider getting a BBA for your Dreamcast if you're simply playing PSO. Japanese BBA's work with US Dreamcasts btw... Suck they are a little high on price. However the Japanese BBA's seem to be a little cheaper.

You could login to your pi and try to ping http://www.google.com, that would narrow the issue down to the router if you don't get a reply I would think.
