This may be a bad idea but what if we add a "open port check" to dreampi. If the specific ports needed to run WWP arent open then dont route their ip to correct server, basically blocks them from connecting to server until thier network has been setup correctly.

That could help elminate some annoying freezes

Server update
- The entire DC IRC module has been optimized (reworked from scratch)
- IRC server tweaking

Thnx for the game session today, after both playing and monitoring
the game server, I now have much more knowledge over what the issues are,
lets see if I can found a easy solution to it.

Just an update, i have now only port forwarding enabled, as i have just found out that you cannot have both DMZ and port forwarding enable at the same time.
I also disabled my routers firewall, and suprise suprise i managed to have a game with Tact!
Its looking alot like The routers Firewall, but will keep trialing this with variuos setting, so any new commers can set their routing options up fast.
Xiden my modem is just 1 device.

After much testing of my routers configurations, and realizing that worms uses p2p for online play, i have come to the conclusion that port forwading is fine and firewall must be completley turned off in order to play with others.
There are some buggs within the game itself that require players to hard reset both dreamcast and dreampi, but the game is deffinetly woorth the hassle
Hope this help any future worm players

Recently got my Dreamcast online, and wanted to play Worms World Party online.

First off, I know my Dreamcast works online. XDP works, and so does Planet Ring.

Second off, I have DMZ setup, so, that's not an issue.

anyhow, im trying to connect, and it works, but the Lobby's are missing:

My friend, who is also in the Lobby when I took this pic, said they were missing for him, as well.

Is everything ok with the server?
