Sorry I missed out today. I have never used the online save, I just backup my save on to one of two "back up" VMU's. This way I have a total of 3 VMU's to save to and make sure one of my files are not corrupt.

It's good measure Sylverant backup even if partial .. er somehow I recall in one of UGB's vids his gear on him had poofed , yet with /restore 1 he got all back when first trying out IVES disc
He's been rocking IVES over the USB-GDROM , such lightning loads it's incredible to witness

Even a GD-ROM dump will load quickly over SD card or HDD, as there is no longer any latency from waiting for the laser assembly to seek.
