Bleem question

Post by GameOverYeah »

So guys, have y'all ever used bleem? I don't have a PS1 but there's some PS1 games I want to get. How well do they perform on bleem?

Also where can I download that ISO (for the bleem disc that plays everything)?

You may want to try them on an actual PS1 before using Bleem. It will give you a good idea how it would end up looking like.

I've only used the officially released bleem! discs (Gran Turismo 2, Metal Gear Solid, Tekken 3(, and they all work great. From what I've read, large compilation bleem! 'discs' you can find only are hit or miss. There used to be a good site that had tested hundreds of PS1 games with the unreleased bleem! 'discs' and posted their performances, but I don't know if it's still available to view.

http://theisozone.com/downloads/dreamca ... bleemcast/ -Put this in the apps folder in dreamshell (using the boot loader method) I tested my ps1 games with this and aside from MGS and GT2, I got Silent Hill to play pretty well with very minimal glitching. Someone with a larger ps1 collection should experiment with this route and let us know their findings.

Spider-man 2 - Enter Electro. It works except the cut-scenes and the last second or two of spoken audio does not finish. The game is 100% playable.

Thanks for the replies, guys. It seems some of the games I want (RRT4, Klonoa) work well, while others (Ridge Racer Revolution) not at all.

On second thought, never mind about Klonoa. Just checked the prices on ebay. haha

However, I am curious as to whether I would be able to play Japanese PS1 games on my Dreamcast. My Dreamcast has no region lock.

The officially released Bleemcast! discs are multi-region. So I'm sure that's a yes.

Except for Tekken 3 which will not work with the NTSC/J copy of the game.

That's weird. The box says it works with all versions... :?
