Trickstyle NTSC versus PAL?

I've played the US version of Trickstyle before, and it dips in the framerate department quite a bit imo. I remember reading an interview with the developers well after the release, stating that they worked on the game right until the last minute, and had wanted to optimize the game more, but were pressed for time because of the September launch of the DC in the US.

I saw a video of PAL Trickstyle on youtube today and it seemed unusually smooth in terms of framerate. I know the European launch was several weeks after the US launch, and that the PAL version enabled VGA support while the US version didn't. Would it be outlandish to think that maybe with the extra time they had before the European launch, the PAL version was better optimized and has less slowdown?

Does anyone have both copies to test? Or opinions on the framerate from owners of the PAL version?

And while we're at it, does this level even exist in the game?


It would probably have to be in the USA races, but I don't remember a wide street with shopfronts like this in any of the levels.

As for the PAL version, from what I saw here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yjmJ2imJXKE, the framerate is no better, unfortunately.

Yay! Finally found a post on trickstyle.
I myself was wondering, between the PAL and the US version, which one was better?
