Yes, rumors from a guy on Facebook but by the sounds of it there is no credibility to them. Would have made for a hell of a story though!

cool well I'm fairly sure that we should see the game before spring 2013, sounded like their production issues had been resolved but their production slot was quite a bit later on than they hoped

Wait; is this already available? I see it on eBay for $125

Edit.
A preorder on eBay? I didn't know this was possible

whoever listed it must be fairly confident their copies will arrive, lots of people buy more than one, keep one and sell it on for a profit. As long as I get mine I don't care lol

All current eBay auctions for Sturmwind are scam, more or less. Non of these wholesalers have contacted us yet about any info. And the LE is almost sold out, you know. We don't see any chance these wholesalers can guarantee their customers the delivery of the LE once Sturmwind has been released.

Also Play-Asia.com hasn't made an order yet, it seems like they will evaluate their purchase by the pre-orders currently available. Also the release date on their website hasn't been communicated with us. So it's just a random entry, I guess.

Current situation: Test run at the CD production facility will start within 1 week, we will make this update public then. See this as an exclusive statement here. 2012 is still the release date we're focusing on.

Some OT about the French lawsuit:

We've heard about this here the very first time. Nobody has contacted us concerning a lawsuit yet. Maybe because there is nothing legal you can fight against - you do not need to make payments with the pre-orders and on the other side we refund made payments asap if customers will have their payment back. And there is no kind of any violation, law-proven.

From our point of view, there are few people in French DC online scene who don't like us because of our noses. It seems like a work of a small group of 5-10 people. We've been threatened by email as well. We received some ugly statements with bad language from this circle. Like: "Kill yourself". No response to our replies. Some insist of a release right now, or even on CD-R. "Or else..."

But those aren't the French Dreamcast scene. There are many French fans. We've visited the Retro Connexion convention near Paris, they are very, very friendly guys and just give us positive feedback until now. Also the French Retro (print) scene like Pix'n Love like our work, and we have a very good relation to them and their readers.

Our current handling of such situations is to keep calm, reply in a polite and productive way and push the project forward (we would do that without pressure as well).
So in the end, how should we handle such situations? What's your opinion?

This is the best way to handle it already. Anyone who does something of any consequence, either a celebrity, a politician, an attractive woman, or someone with an item that others want, gets this kind of stupid hazing. Sometimes it is done just because these people want attention or want to provoke a reaction. Blowing up at them or writing them angry messages in return is deep down what they actually want. They want to feel more justified in their hazing and it encourages them to ramp it up.

On the other hand, ignoring them or handling things in a very professional manner is going to bore them eventually. They aren't getting the attention they want or the reaction they want to keep them charged up and interested in hazing, and eventually it dies down.

Creating the sturmwind faq was a good idea, and doing some pr on dreamcast websites is also a good idea, as the production delays and preorder methods have confused a lot of people, including non-hazers. But you don't have to go out of your way to respond in kind to email threats.

Our pre-orders are still active right? I actually had my family buy me the game as a gift for last Christmas and it would be great if it just ships out with no extra work from me when its all ready.

Hi Redspot!! AWESOME to hear from you! I'm glad you guys are getting on well with the project and I was just wondering if I could ask regarding pre-orders direct from your site. I was concerned for a while whether my order would be fulfilled as basically I ordered the innitial version I think January 2011 and then heard about the LE Edition (the one with the toy model) and pre-ordered that and paid up front. I have tried to follow this up to check on the site countless times and have trouble with the query logging system as it is nigh on impossible to log back in and check the status and I can't seem to reset my credentials.

What I wanted to know is, can you confirm/guarantee that those who pre-ordered direct through your site for the LE edition will definitely receive their copy when it is released? I know its probably a silly question but I'd just like to hear the assurance from you if possible

thanks and keep up the GREAT WORK!!
