think I've seen official ones. Some of the 3rd party ones can be a bit fragile and prone to breaking so I've always stuck to the Madcatz cables which are very good(also quite reasonably priced).

I'm not sure which generic ones these are. They came in plain discreet wrap, like a dirty magazine. I'm a little concerned about the controller port panel frying, but they've been fine so far.

I got unnofficial extensions off ebay recently, the first one I got was great but the second must've been a different brand as you have to REALLY force the controller plug into the extension, it clearly wasn't made very well.
The other thing I have that I started using again is my VGA box, its obviously unnoficial and its one of those clear ones that has a red light and can switch between VGA and tv etc, but it was made in such a way that the VGA port is set into the plastic casing, so most normal VGA cable/plugs don't seem to connect properly and you have to REALLY force it in place. I even ended up getting another one that was just a cable type thing/version, sold that recently though as I finally managed to get a good connection on the clear VGA box and must say the picture is perfect, absolutely fantastic

yes, if you never played dc in vga, it can be quite a revelation, how crisp & radiant everything looks. proves this machine could easily compete

Native VGA is probably the coolest, and most underexposed/undersold, feature of the DC.
I got a new VMU today. It's just basic white but it's on the blister pack...I might just throw it in the collection and scoop up a different one.

Recently I got my second Dreamcast, boxed and came with 12 games, unopened VMU, boxed controller, 1MB memory unit and rumble pack. Also just received a VGA box which is awesome.

I recently bought an Atlona 510 VGA to HDMI converter and upscaler. Best purchase I made to upscale on my 55" LCD TV. Dreamcast looks awesome in 720p!
