So I recently bought a Dreamcast off ebay, however I wasn't expecting an A/V cable connection and now I can't work out what channel to put the TV on to play games.
Honestly I can't even tell if it's working.
I feel like a chump.

just put it on the AV chan (the one you use for your dvd player)

Actually, I had to reassign a channel to stop channel 5 playing over the game screen.

Have you ever played a Dreamcast game before making a purchase? If not, it's recommended to try out a few of them using an emulator first. Once you've been completely won over, get a Gdemu clone and an HDMI converter. Also, keep in mind that light gun games will require pricey, custom-made guns.
