From what I understood, this is not an official edition made by Sega. The Japanese Baseball league requested to customize 5 DCs to give them as a gift.

Now my question is if this one is one of the 5, or a replica from the customized dreamcasts LoL

I remember the original rumour/story of the gold DC all the way back in the early 2000s. All anyone ever knew is that that there was 1 of them and it was for this Pro Yakyu series of baseball games. I don't remember talk of 5 - the point is that it was so rare because it was limited to just 1.

Can anyone actually translate the Japanese text? Does it make any sense? It seems strange to fake all that info.

And where are these other fake consoles from the same seller? Anyone have any pics to share here? (or some more background in general about the seller) I'm not doubting any of the info here, I'm just intrigued to know a bit more.

Here is the beginning of my correspondence with this scammer.
I think the fact that this seller is blocked and deleted on the largest trading platform in Russia says something

I saw this on eBay recently... looks like he fixed the orange peel problem of the last one but too bad you can tell its a fake just by other notable flaws it has... the controller analog stick lost its texture nubs on it and has some peel in the circular part of the controller next to the A and B button...also the dial up modem sticker looks like it got paint on it, you can see some paint got inside the bottom of the Dreamcast metal shielding inside threw the bottom vent holes and inside the Dreamcast disk tray you cant make out the "Do not touch laser" part underneath the spindle from the layers of caked on paint that turned it into one huge square void...also the VMU lettering has peeled off from a botched silkscreen application or vinyl lettering...its gets worse the more you look at it
