is it possible to make this modification in emulator neogeo aes? dreamcast is a great console to run neogeocd games just need to run neogeo aes to close :D

Yes been saying this a long time pre fetch on the sd card loading the rom on the cdr no stop start.. so yes the crap about it being to slow when it same speed as ps1 cdrom drive .. just to load a small pre fetch is crazy ..


Only why aes4all stops starts is it's using mmu thrashing the hell out the cdrom drive and loading at the same time.. the above shows reading 2 places at once yes this would fix aes ..

Can you stream music from the SD while loading assets from the disc? or is better the other way, using the actual CD drive to stream redbook music while the SD is transfering the data.
With that in mind do you think that the dreamcast is capable to reproduce 640x480 videos or widescreen anamorphic movies at said resolution?

no, KOS ISO9660 driver use CPU for reading data from CD, for reading SD card too used CPU

Like i have said you stream music from the cd drive load data from the sd card.. example above cdda music playing perfect while loading game data from the sd card

Yes sega had 4xm coded that did just that dvd quality 640x480 movies could be played full framerate so is it possible well yes sega did it

idea here is streaming cdda from the cd drive data from the sd card i show it above

Ah shit I was just going to ask if the Dreamcast could handle DVD videos at 60fps whilst reading those specifications. Damn that is pretty great it can go over 24fps videos at DVD quality. If only we could use this codec with the MIL-CD menu to have true DVD menu features.

You can build the project and use the dreamon menu it was built for it Infact you could code a menu for it in katana with out to much trouble i have the sdk tool kit and pc side as well..

Where talking official dev kit tools here ..
