open the ip.bin with an hex edit it's written at the beginning.

have you played ncaa2k? :roll: ncaa2k is trash. nfl2k1 is the best football game on dreamcast by far. nfl2k2 is not even as good as nfl2k1.
the game mechanics, the play modes, the playbooks, the rosters are all superior on nfl2k1.
i used to play nfl2k1 online when seganet was still alive, it was fun as hell.
imo nfl2k1 is the best football game i have ever played, second to espn 2k5.
madden is garbage! lol :evil:

i don't even have the nfl2k1 raw files currently to view.
can you explain a bit more?

Open your gdi iso with gdiexplorer of japanese_cake (version 1.3) extract the ip.bin.
Open the ip.bin with an hex editor.

I think both 2k2s are better than 2k1. Though all 2k games of this era have issues in the passing game and recievers catching passes

my top 5:

1: nfl2k1
2: espn2k5
3: nfl blitz
4: tecmo bowl
5: madden10

(Pigskin 621 A.D. should be in the list)

I like the cartoon style football games.
where a run play can go for 50 yards, and a hail mary pass is like clockwork.
not to mention a defense that can get 8 qb sacks a game lol
nfl2k1 is definitely a cartoon style football game.
nfl2k was too easy to put 100 points on the board, and nfl2k2 was more difficult than nfl2k1.
sega changed the game mode difficulty in nfl2k2.

I still do not understand what you mean fafadou.
What is written at the beginning?
The name of the main bin file listed in ip bin?

Last time I checked the main bin is the game executable.
1st read is used similar to what psov2 does and some other dc games do this too.
Whatever that might be the 1st_read points to another bin file that is the actual game.

I noticed that it was either echelon or kalisto that removed one of the bin files.
In the past I have got some games to boot by not using the 1st read and using the main bin instead.
But for this game there are no CD00 to edit for the LBA in the main bin. (encrypted?)
I think most rip versions more than likely place the main bin at the original LBA to allow game to boot.

I have seen other dc games use blowfish.bin, so it would make sense that the encryption on main bin is blowfish.
Or maybe this was named blowfish to throw people off from encryption that was used on main bin?
Maybe some1 can point me to tools/tutorials etc to use to crack blowfish encryption?
lol idk, doubt I could even figure that out either.
