Controller d-pad rubber replacements?

I experience the original DC controller as rather sturdy, but the rubber pad below the D-pad is torn on most of the controllers I bought. Although I know new controllers are pretty cheap, it would be nice to find a replacement for these pads. Anyone know a good site with high quality replacements? ($14 at ALiexpress does not seems worth it).

I actually tried putting a pad from a PS2 Dual shock controller there, it almost fits, but is not 100% reliable.

Another option would be to repair the pads with some sort of rubber compound, but in my experience it gets rather messy, and it is difficult finding a suitable compound that fills and holds the pad together.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Replacement-Si ... SwqrVcgE2H this is the best i found. there was another one on ali express but i dont think id trust it based on how shitty the website looked. but if you wanna see for yourself https://m.aliexpress.com/item/32379230051.html i couldnt find anything new so the ones ur buying are just taken out of broken DC controllers.

The more I look at those 3 images, the more confused I get.

I'm guessing the PS2 silicone pads are interchangeable with the Dreamcast ? As long as you replace that yellow DC specific piece?

Open your original Dreamcast Control it will have this yellow piece but you cannot use it on the ps2 rubbers. I had to cut the center of the damaged rubber to use the yellow piece and fit it on the ps2 rubber.

I'm interested in your dreamcast controller repair which made use of ps2 rubbers,But it seems that youtube video have been deleted.
Is there any chance to upload youtube video once again?
