Apparently, in late 1999 there were rumours about a special "ChuChu Rocket" contest involving a downloadable VMU minigame. Read more about it here: http://www.ign.com/articles/1999/12/04/ ... et-contest

So, does anybody know, if this ever happend? If so, what was the name of this game? What was it like?
I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Possibly this might turn into a new entry for the VMU archiving project...

I tend to believe, that the contest only offered certain newly created levels for the ingame puzzle mode - no VMU minigame. What do you think/know about it?

Reading through the Japanese pages, it seems like you are correct. These were just downloadable level packs for puzzle mode. Too bad they are lost to the ages, though. :-/
