Monster Hunter PS2: Online Revival Possible

I was talking with no23/the_fog (the guy who helped bring back online PS2 games such as Resident Evil Outbreak and Twisted Metal Black) and he said that he developed a mostly functional test server for the original Monster Hunter on PS2 (a personal favorite of mine) but never finished/released it.

When asked if the project would ever resume development, he said it could happen if there was enough interest in it. So we created a survey to help gauge interest. If you're interested in playing this game online, speak up! Now's your chance!

Same thing with Auto Modellista US Tuned ala SLPM-65286 , he even showed pics of succesful networking!

I think a plenty of us stepped up to say 'yeh we are rdy for it' but not heard back unfortunately

How can deathless/thefog/No23 be contacted, I saw him in the er a Outbreak server but no reply

I'm with ya, Tri is great. There's 3 Ultimate of course which is better in most ways, but the online just wasn't as good as Tri.

Just an update on the project, things are looking promising. We've gotten past the point of "Should we do it" and have gotten to the point of "What do we do next?". I'll keep updating this thread as things happen.

Any updates ReaderRagfish? I only ask because you mentioned in the Area 51 thread "... we've been testing/debugging a Monster Hunter server and it's a ton of fun". So it works to some degree?
