To SoftMod An Xbox

I've Done it before with the NduRE 3.0 and XboxHDm hotswap method but I gave that XBOX to my brother now I have this one and it doesn't want to hotswap.
Does any one know of another method to do the softmod/hotswap trick?

In my opinion, the most effective method unlock the hard drive to hotswap is to unplug the power to the disc drive before powering up the xbox and PC. Then run xboxhdm and it should work. Sometimes it takes a few tries. Also, make sure you have the AV cable plugged into the xbox as well even if it isn't plugged into a TV.

I soft-modded my xbox so it could play region free games and I was trying to get a higher capacity harddrive in there but couldn't get it to work
I used to use this site a lot:
