Above is Collin boss level, I made this image from the artist delivery, but this is how it will be in the end.
One thing I added is conversations in game, for example at the start of the first level, Dan says something like "Scumbags, you messed with the wrong person!".
There will be also a longer conversation between Dan and Collin at the end of level 1. As Collin will show up and talk with Dan.
Talk system will be used a lot through the game in key situations. The look of dialogs will be a bit like the Castelvania symphoy of the night.
Dialogs will be voiced in the final version.
There is one team member working on the story, which will have a lot of drama, and will be conveyed with dialogs, mission and levels infos, intros/outros etc...
