freestyle street basketball was taken off line a while back by sierra. now its back with a new host. atm it is undergoing open beta testing.
freestyle street basketball is a free MMORPG with a twist. its not like any other rpg, instead of slaying monsters or anything of the like. you upgrade your characters and play street basketball. you can add skills, change clothing and level up your stats. if you want you can pay for game credits to buy special items. or if you wish you can just use the free items to upgrade your character by using award pts. you earn award points by playing the game. if you win you earn more points.
the actual game play is simple. you run around trying to score the ball or stop the other team from scoring. up to 6 players play on the same court in 3 on 3 half court basketball. the controls are simple to use as well. use up/down/left/right arrows to move your character. use A/S/D/F and W to pull off offense and defensive moves.
the game needs very little system specs. i was able to run it on my old computer that had a 2.7 Ghz celeron processor, 64mb integrated graphics and 512mb PC2700 ram and im not sure how much free hard drive space is needed. i think somewhere around 1 to 1.5 gigs is needed.
