I never got the chance to play that DC game but from what I saw of it it looked pretty cool and has gotten very favorable reviews.

Maybe I will. I'm a bit burnt out on Diablo 2 ATM, doubt I'll get around to D3 due to my personal hatred towards Blizzard-Activision.
(btw I'm the topic creator)

Ufff..... I've been watching diii.net since it was made (diablo III annoucnment following the data transfer from dii.net).
I never played WoW (refused to give it a try), but I'm a huge blizzard fan (they are second only to Sega!).
I played diablo 1 when it came out, till the xpansion (hellfire by Sierra, not official), and then diablo 2, and then its expansion.
I played diablo 2 (uswest, ladder & non, normal & hc), for over 7 years. It was the reason I got in 2 relationships, and also the reason I got out of those two relationships.
I played the game for so long, that at one time, i was classified as the "top fury wolf" of uswest, for over a year (pre patch 1.10, after which I just stopped trying as every zealot with drac's or exile just wouldn't stop messaging me).
I sold everything I had, including piles of legit 1.08 items (not obvious things like wf or arkains, but rarities like viscernouts defender), and a few private bugged items that have never surfaced on the duppers' market, for well over $800.
I've quit and started the game multiple times, I've owned a few official d2 t-shirts, I have the entire book collection (READ THEM!), a necromancer toy (the others are rubbish, had the unraveler, was fun but not as cool as the necro), and a few copys of the game (all released versions like the origonal, new warchest, special limited edition).
...
I hate blizzard so much, that damn game rulled my life for so long.
The announcement / release of DIII is the reason I chose to get a netbook instead of a new pc/laptop, because I SPECIFICALLY DO NOT WANT TO PLAY THIS GAME.
I'll own it. I'll buy it and keep it on my mantel. But Dear GOD keep it away from me! I can't play this game.... You guys would literally never see me again.
I'm pretty sure that Blizzard injects digital CRACK into their games. I played starcraft alot too in between diablo. Shit even Blackthorne on the 32X (made by blizzard!) made me keep coming back more than most genesis games!

Woah that's a great story. But by looking at how they butchered starcraft II, Id say you wont have to worry. Diablo III will probably be awful.

you see thats the problem there because its not the creators of diablo making the game, its a new team from what i remember hearing. some of the skills and attacks they use look cool. but idk that fact there are no druids so far piss me off.

and after seeing this. I think i'll have to get the first two to get use to the game, infact i'l be right back im going to get them - best buy, later!
I'd just like to point out that, to strengthen my argument that Diablo 2 had digital crack built into it, that this is the last message from ArChoN...
