My latest purchase...
I recently ordered this sexy beast from Japan along with an Everdrive clone; just waiting on a third party, Australian power supply. I can't wait to start playing some games on it

oww...if there's one console that shouldn't be played on a modern tv, it's the n64...it looks terrible, even the PS1 looks better because at the very least that supports RGB. I suggest you get the n64 modded for better video outputmkandersson1082 wrote:Modern TV's handle both PAL & NTSC signalsmazonemayu wrote:Aren’t Aussie tv’s PAL?

Re: My latest purchase...
True that, it's not ideal with the default output. I do plan on picking up a HDMI converter at a later stage, however. That being said it couldn't be any worse than the PS2 running over composite cablesmazonemayu wrote:oww...if there's one console that shouldn't be played on a modern tv, it's the n64...it looks terrible, even the PS1 looks better because at the very least that supports RGB. Re: My latest purchase...
Why would you use composite on a PS2 when it does stuff like RGB & component natively?

Tried component for a while on my PS2, but I didn’t like it quite as much as RGB, so I went back to that

Re: My latest purchase...
I turned on game and PC mode, and set digital noise reduction to 'strong' on my LED panel. The visuals via composite are now at a more acceptable level...better than those cheap Chinese HDMI converters even. It's surprising how much of a difference noise reduction makes...this'll see me through until I can afford a decent HDMI solution.

Be careful using a clone ED. The voltages I hear are wildly unstable on those devices and will eventually kill your N64.
