Figured i connect my dc dialup via phone line to my cable modem phone jack and see what happens. Well i used a free isp number and i was online with quake. Unplayable connection by the way but i think its a matter of finding the right number.
So now its just a matter of getting some dialup games . Needless to say ....q3 will stay ...on bba )))

Unfortunately, you're likely not going to be able to play online with that. It's VOIP which adds too much latency to the connection to be usable for online games (if you can even sustain a connection at all). There was a guy recently that tried the exact same thing and couldn't maintain a decent connection.

update..... yeah figured id try anyway and the bast number was a 500 ping in q3. Guess that anolog to digital connection process adds 300 milli seconds
