Hey guys, as you probably already know, petterk3k has acquired the Alien Front Online server. http://www.dcserv.org/?p=147

I just wanted to start a discussion topic for this. petter3k is working on the server code as we speak. This is exciting news indeed!

Awesome...though someone should really come up with A simple solution for all the dial up only games since most folks don't own a landline anymore.

Someone was trying to develop a Raspberry Pi DC server for this purpose and there was also a Moband project at Assembler Games within the last year. The Raspberry Pi project is at a halt per the April 19th 2015 post and the Moband project seems to have hit a wall. Links below.

I know, and I would be the first to buy such a thing no matter the cost, but as we know it is not gonna happen anytime soon... :(

I'm not sure if it's the same guy or not but there's a thread about a Raspberry Pi based PC-DC server here. He's already provided a link to an image you can install on your own Raspberry Pi which should work just fine. I don't have one to test it though.

Edit: It is a different guy.

This is great news. Did this game support BBA?

Dialup only sadly. Which is kinda weird as it was a late release game iirc. God I hope that moband idea gets off the ground, or a steamlined rasberrypi
