If you dont care about the 5 exclusive super grafx games then I recommend a PCEngine + S3 instead
Nope, the pin out on the games is different. CD games are region free though. This is why it is better to get a PC Engine over a Turbografx: there's only a few Turbografx games that you'll miss out on, that are actually worth is (Neutopia & Dragon's Curse come to mind, which are both translated rpg's on Hu Cards, or Turbo Chips as they are called in the US, and Dragon's Curse is actually Wonder Boy 3 on the Master System so...), the other translated rpg's are all on CD format (YS 1, 2, & 3, Exile, Dynastic Hero,...) so those can be played perfectly on a PC Engine. Another reason to get a PC Engine instead of a Turbofrafx, is its vastly superior library: there are literally 500 more games on the PC Engine and most of those are perfectly playable for non Japanese speakers, it has a ton of shooters, platformers, action adventure games, puzzlers, etc...

I'd say its pretty accurate from my experience . It wasn't the best before the firmware patch. But.... the best reason to get one is you need a jailbreak card They are cheap on ebay, and you can play the entire library of neo geo games plus other emulators if you wish. And it has the universal neogeo bios which allows you to run games in aes or mvs modes (home console vs arcade mode). With the jailbreak firmware the emulation for neogeo I find spot on.
