damn i wish you would have said something earlier neo.
i have been posting stuff in this thread for a few days.
i wasted a day on it.
oh well.

i had a hunch you would make a version since dee dee planet is one of your favorite dc games.
im not upset, i just wish you would have said hey man i'm making a version.
i'm getting used to this type of stuff on the daily though lol
so no biggie.
my apologies. i just did it tonight as i got some free time before bed.
The SFD downsampling was automated except for a few files which needed manual adjustment.
took maybe an hour after i found all my tools. i'd be glad to share workflow+tools to you for future.

I dont have a cd drive in any computer or dreamcast so i cant test. it would make more sense if you made them and could test them.

no worries.
when i downsample sfd it takes forever, multiple apps, batch files, etc.
no automation :(
but i would assume since you're a coder you created some tools to make it easier?

congrats on your dee dee planet version, afterall it should've been you making it from the start.
considering you love the game more than any1 else.
i think my original stance about betas should remain.
from now on i will never make a .cdi of a beta/prototype.
i will leave it for other ppl to do.

take err easy.

You take it easy as well. Please understand I didn't mean any disrespect or to discount/discredit your work.

I hope the knowledge learned was positive.

As I mentioned I'd be glad to share all my tools and knowledge in another thread to you. I don't like the idea of certain people hoarding information for our favorite console. Even though many people are moving to ODE solutions I don't think anyone should ignore the large userbase still using CDs.

no, its not disrespect.
i never saw it that way at all.
don't worry again i knew you would make a version of dee dee planet lol

ya i learned a bit about katana bins in the process.
i agree that any info about dreamcast should always be shared.
you might be suprised by how many ppl use cdr.
besides making selfboot cdi's for 80min cdr's will become a lost art overtime.
that is unless all of the info/tools are available to ppl who want to learn.

i have always respected your work.

Yes thank you Neo and Smith for your efforts. I am one of those people who still uses discs and never got any sort of ODE.. I guess were a dying breed nowadays? :?

I think the perception is you're a dying breed but i bet running the numbers the people with ODE are definitely the minority. Theres just more news and such about them so it seems more widespread.

Dreamcast and cd-rs are ubiquitous
