Not new, but back and excited!

Thought I would post since I haven't been active here for a few years.

It seems like every time I check in with the DC scene something exciting has happened. Well, 2016/2017 haven't disappointed. I was pleasantly surprised to see a whole bunch of games resurrected! Awesome work to all those involved. The DreamPi looks awesome as well; it really breaks down a lot of the barriers to getting our old Dreamcasts online.

I dug out my big cumbersome but reliable remote access server and I'm good to go for some online play :D

Chu chu rocket is probably at the top of my list, but I'd also like to try out alien front online. I'm actually a little bitter with Sega about AFO. I bought it ~2003 when their website stated it was still online but that wasn't the case. So, I never got to play it online.

To note, most games that have been brought back are not all friendly with anything but the DreamPi (mostly due to GameSpy dependent games).

Which in particular? So far I am able to connect to PSO, Starlancer, Chu Chu Rocket, and AFO. I havent tried playing a match in any of them yet though. AFO took me a while to figure out the redirection but it seems to work now.

It's basically the "netopia" method but with telecom grade equipment so it's more reliable and configurable.

I may end up getting a dreampi at some point because of how compact it would make my setup, but as it is right now it's pretty cool to have a (more or less) legit dial-up ISP running out of my basement
