Hi I have a request to make; my dreamcast already works well with utopia for discs import, but I was interested in installing the modchip, nobody on the forum is selling one of them or can direct me to someone who has?
Hello thanks

Better to piggyback a second regionfree bios.
Google it if you haven't heard of it.

Re: dreamcast modchip request
It's completely unnecessary to have a modchip installed since you can circumvent it very easily. I have also heard that region-free bios has some odd qwirks that would make some games either break or become incompatible.

The only info I know of is when a former member here, Adam Korliak, made a video on using a codebreaker cheat device to bypass the region lock. I can't get the link of the video at the moment, but he did say something that a region free bios only works for 99.94% of the whole entire library the console already possess.krssn wrote:Got some more info on that?...

Re: dreamcast modchip request
ok thank you all, but I have found the chip on the site that now escapes me the name.
For installation piggyback we had thought, but it seems too invasive, it does not want for the time to spend more money on another console when it is good that I have in my hands.
There remains the problem of the scheme, but what I look for when it comes chips
