When putting the Dreamshell files onto your SD card, the ISOs for both emulators simply go into your games folder. You then run them like any usual game after booting up the Dreamshell OS using your boot disc.state_product wrote:Awesome, thanks - Gens4All / MAME4ALL look exactly what I'm looking for. These just run on Dreamshell OS, or are there better / other ways to do this?
The more recent revisions of Dreamshell have an app called "GD Play" included - you run this from the OS, swap in your game, and start playing. It's no different to using a boot disc such as Codebreaker, only GD Play doesn't have an option for enabling cheats/widescreen codes etc. As a result I don't use GD Play as much now for booting games from other regions, but if you're not planning on using codes, it just means you can use Dreamshell as your boot disc and not have an extra CD lying around.state_product wrote:On running imports, is there a specific region bypass or is it just the OS? What's the advantage of doing that over a boot disc out of curiosity?
