Virtua stick pro question

"not really sure where to ask this, but i am trying to use a hss-0130 virtua stick pro with the blue saturn->dc controller adapters for fighting games. only problem is the standard hp and hk buttons are mapped to the dc internal C and Z buttons, most games recognize these inputs as the same as L and R, with the exception of third strike. really don't want to have to hardware mod the stick because of its internal pcb connectors rather than a standard wiring harness, and also just because its sort of hard to come by. is there any software workaround to remap these? or a third strike mod that recognizes C and Z buttons? or can anyone point me in the direction of where to start learning about modiffying gdis?"
