Dreampi connection help needed

My dreampi quit working about 4 or 5 months ago, I've been using Broadband ok though on a separate Dreamcast, so I haven't been completely offline... I followed the online guides by UBG and PC many times, and nothing works... I switched over from Comcast Xfinity to CenturyLink a couple months ago, so I do have a new router... the number that I was using to successively dial and connect before my problems was 1234, I'm using 111-1111 now. If anyone can help, I'd appreciate it... my 9volt is is good, but have a tls3 phone line simulator I can also use, no luck with using that either...

So the failed to look up hosts thing is normal, its due to the website being offline. Are you having issues during the connection process? If so what error are you getting? Are you just trying to surf the net? Are you using dreampi 1.6? DMZ enabled for your Dreamcasts IP and not the PI?

No websites will load at all, I'm using dreampi 1.6
It will connect and turn the phone in the upper right hand corner from red to green, it gives the error message in the 3rd picture after that. I have been trying lots of different things with the router, I'm not sure what needs to be done to enable the Dreamcast's IP, I don't know what it is... I think I have enabled DMZ for the Pi, maybe that was a mistake?

It looks like your Pi may not be connected to the Internet. Can you log into the Pi using a USB keyboard to run some diagnostics? Also, which version of the DreamPi image are you using?

Try Not set a DNS leave it at 0.0.0.0. The pi should handle everything, Usually problems like this are a dns lookup problem.

Padre, if you log in via the console (username: pi password: raspberry), then try:

Code: Select all

ping -c 4 google.com

If you get ping replies (something like "64 bytes from xyz"), then it's connected. Otherwise, run the command:

Code: Select all

ifconfig -a

and post the result. Also, try TacT's suggestion as well.

I tried switching to all zeros and no luck. I can't log in on the dreampi with that password either...

Looks like you're online, Padre. Is your connection problems solved?
