Show your support for a port of Xash3D

I found what looks like the official Xash3D forums in Russia. I made a thread requesting a build for DC. I was thinking others from here could register and +1 the thread to show support. Maybe it'll motivate a couple people over there to give it a try

For those of you that don't know, Xash3D is an open source re-implementation of the Half-Life engine. With upgraded features like physics and lighting improvements. I'm so adamant about getting a working multiplayer half-life on DC because of the many many excellent multiplayer mods for it. Like this one http://www.moddb.com/mods/chicken-fortress-3 . The physics could also potentially allow us to get a crude port of half-life 2. Making this potentially one of the best homebrews for DC

I'd really like to see this happen and play cs, tf and more, so register and reply here http://cs-mapping.com.ua/forum/showthread.php?t=37604 to show your support

This is a good idea but if ports of half life , half life 2 and team fortress came about I would hope they would be commercially released independent games and not downloadable homebrew titles probably licensed by valve becuse burned games are bad for the GD-ROM drive plus when they are released not many people know about it but everyone in the dreamcast community knows about commercially released games

Well according to some reputable members here cd-r's being bad for the laser is just a myth. In some cases the file sorts were improved so its actually easier on the laser than a gd-rom

that's true but pressed cds are still better because not a lot of people in this community take notice of new games that can be downloaded and burn to a cd but commercial pressed cd games still get coverage plus a lot of people will be put of playing too much burned games because there is the idea that it will kill your dreamcast
