That issue occurs when the DC (your router) doesn't accept UDP port 7980. Check if you have configured your router correctly.
@Shuouma: Thx. But unfortunately my modem/router "is seeing" only the IP address of the Raspberry Pi. I know the Dreamcast IP address (x.x.x.98) but my modem/router not;(

Thats because its feeding through your pi. Most modern routers today can see it . Can you not manually enter an ip address for dmz?

Did you ever find a solution to this? I have the exact same problem. I just got myself set up with a DreamPI finally but this is what seems to happen. Starlancer works just fine it seems, gonna try a few more games too later. I have a modem and linksys router setup, not a combo. Really hoping I can get this fixed, I was so excited to play AFO again.

He did get it up and running His was due I believe to double-nat issue.
So im guessing you have DMZ'd your Dreamcasts IP (by default dreampi should give it an ip that ends in 98, Example: 192.168.1.98)?

You have dmzd the wrong ip address. Change your dmz to = 192.168.1.98
