same issue I have on the Dreamcast (see a few posts ago). I cannot join a chat to play, but I can connect to the internet and get through the GameSpy questions page and see the DC-Talk server.

What version of 4x4 Evo do you all play online? The original or the update?

Do I need to use the link that Impulse gave or can I just run my original game?

You can use your original retail copy of 4x4 Evo to connect. Just use our DNS server and it will redirect to our server. Set your DC primary DNS to 100.40.25.69. While I can't guarantee it, the game might also still connect using your normal DNS settings because I believe FuzzyFish acquired the 4x4evolution domain and is hosting a backend file which redirects to our server on there as well.

Glad someone nabbed the update before I lost the files, might be useful as I'm toying with the idea of doing yet another DC update after I get the next PC patch out the door. Though the stigma that the WinCE SDK and Dreamcast development has me on the fence.

Regarding 4x4evolution.com, Terminal Reality was nice enough to forward the domain to an IP of my choosing, however I don't have control over subdomains or anything really. It looks like one or two might have gotten corrected however allowing it to work. We should be good to go until 2018 though, baring anything crazy from occurring.

On a new note, I have the track query format figured out. While I don't have a script for it, it's a start and will list the same 12 tracks for now.

No special DNS is required for this game as the original master server is still up. The Dreamcast-Talk chat room isn't working though. You need to use 4x4 Evo R Network (Washington) chat room for now.
