Also, phone number doesn't have to be 555. It can be pretty much anything.

Ok, that's a JP modem. How long does it take for that error to pop up? I just tested DreamKey 3.0 with no phone cable attached and it took about 7 seconds to show that error. If it shows up "instantly" then there's likely a problem on the Dreamcast side.

I would test with a couple games and see if you get different errors.

Any of the games here. I would recommend Quake III Arena as it tends to give more detailed errors.

Well tried quake III arena and as soon as i pushed dial this happens

It's starting to sound like a hardware issue with the modem or Dreamcast. Nothing Dreampi would cause an immediate error.

Try resetting your dreamcast flash memory -> using this https://psopalace.sylverant.net/downloads/DCFlash.zip

You'll have to setup your dc internet settings again but when a friend had similar issues with it failing instantly this seemed to magically fix it. Not sure if it will have the same magic with your situation but worth a try.

Now i would like to try this but my dreamcast is modded with a 220v compatible power supply so i don't know if this will brick the console or not
