Bummer! Did you make a backup? I recently wrote an article on how to do it if you don't know how:

You should have one for how to clone your save file to a different VMU, since that saves everything. Server-side saves are more of a last resort, since they leave so much out.

Server Backup I do after gaming before I log out... Only my new level 19 and the equiped items were still there after reboot.

The weakness of the automatic backups is that you can overwrite your own backup if you don't restore immediately. If you crash, lose your items, come back, and then join a team, the server replaces your last good backup with a new backup of your character without any items, and now you can't restore using /restorebk.

In order to use the automatic backups, the first thing you must do after you crash is log in again, use /restorebk, and then quit. You can't join any teams until you restore. The benefit of using /save is that your data is there permanently and can't get accidentally overwritten, but by the same token, the data stored there is probably going to be somewhat out of date unless you're meticulous about using /save.

I have three VMU's I use to backup my saves. One main and two I alternate with for different saves in case my last backup was bad. I use Dream Explorer to do the file management/backup saves.

It saves your character level and the items in your pack from the last time you entered a team.
