It's hard to pick favorites so I've come up with a list of games that I have absolutely sunk the most hours into.

They're part of my original set of games that I played the hell out of over the years..In recent years I've had to re buy a few for my collection because I just didn't take care of games and software like I do now.

1) Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 (literally wore the disc out lol)
2) House of the Dead 2 (with the Interact light guns religiously until I got a flat screen around 2007 :|, I used to bring this to my friends parties in high school, everyone loved it )
3) Sonic Adventure 2
4) Resident Evil Code Veronica
5) Crazy Taxi

6) Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX (not the most popular I later found out)
7) Tokyo Extreme Racer 2
8) Ready 2 Rumble
9) Unreal Tournament (online at the time)
10)Quake III Arena (I played it online so much, It was like my Call Of Duty or Battlefield back in the day)

Resident Evil 2 or 3 (honestly, either will do)
The Record of Loddoss War
Capcom vs SNK 2: Millionaire Fighting
Marvel VS Capcom 2
Tokyo Xtreme Racer
Shenmue
Bangai O
D2
Soul Calibur
Dead or Alive 2 LE

This was tough. I had to separate and place in stacks and eliminate. There is no order to the list. I couldn't choose a favorite. Of all of them though Resident Evil 2 was played through so many times that a beat all four scenarios in under 12 hours. D2 made the cut because of how strikingly unique it was, always felt as though I had gotten my money's worth outa that one. The fighting games are interchangeable. Any of them at anytime and I'm good.

Ok, this is just games I have/have played, so bear with me.

10: Test Drive 6, certainly a guilty pleasure, it's not great, but damn is it fun.
9: NFL 2k2, one of the better looking games for the console, honestly
8: NBA 2k1 (haven't played 2k2 yet)
7: Virtua Fighter 3TB, it's alright, not the best of the fighting games
6: NHL 2k2, I reviewed this forever ago
5: Toy Commander, I admit it was more fun when I first played it
4: Soul Calibur/Dead or Alive 2, the best 3D fighters on the system
3: Sonic Adventure
2: Shenmue, the only game that ever made me cry
1: Marvel vs Capcom 2, probably the best fighting game EVER

Lots of fighting games, and I'm not even a huge fighting game fan, it's just a great system for them.

It's a Damn fine game. I had the us release when it first came out and traded it in. Happy to say the J release is as playable and I enjoy the case art better.

Lastcall, remember when Madden 2001 came out for the PS2 and everyone got way too hyped over it? The players had oversized heads and looked cartoonish. NFL 2K1 and 2K2 the players look so proportionate and realistic. The names and numbers on their uniforms, likewise, look very true-to-life.

All Madden had that 2K didn't, was the facial animations, and that was done by: 1) enlarging the players' heads to bobblehead size, and 2) making everyone look exactly the same except for skin color. In retrospect, I think it's pretty clear which game looks better.

BTW one gaming magazine said something like: if you played NFL 2K and confused it for a real game, when you play Madden 2001 you're gonna think you're watching Sony's IMAX.

Yeah OK guy. I'm sure that's true. Retards...

Yeah, Madden's players looked kinda ridiculous in the early PS2 era. They got a lot better, which is why I wished the DC would have lasted longer, to see what devs could have squeezed out of that box until 2006 or so.
