That's interesting. I used to have that game on the PS1 and I remember manipulation the texture cache memory limitation by nearly falling off the Cloud City arena. The game normally plays between 22 to 30 Htz, but doing that trick, I ended up finding out that there is no frame rate cap restricting the game. It's interesting to know that Luxoflux used the hardware limitations to determine the performance. Now I know to go out and buy that game sometime in the future.

I'm not sure how the PS1 version is but the Dreamcast port is terrible. It looks great and runs really smooth but that's about all it's got going for it.

I will agree with you. The port of DC is the same with N64 i can say. Sometimes polygons and textures is too bad...

Added Re-Volt. You need to enter your name as FLYBOY to increase the framerate to 60fps. You will be making some sacrifices though as it will decrease draw distance, scale back some effects, and remove objects from the track. Thanks to implantgames for pointing this out!

I only thought this would have only worked on the N64 with the 4 Meg-expansion pack but after seeing that video earlier this morning, it only be a matter of time before it would end up being on this list and I learn something new every day. I wonder why today's games don't have a cheat code to raise the framerate. :/

I know! I don't think the smoother gameplay is worth it.
