Upcoming- Dead Or Alive 2: Final Edition

Post by Green Ranger »

Hello everyone, my name is Green Ranger and I'm currently working on a project to mod Dead Or Alive 2. I had made two previous releases some years ago, with "Dead Or Alive 2- Ultimate Edition" being the last one. Both previous releases had some costume mods, new music and some new dialogue text for the characters.

That was then, and this is now. I plan on releasing a huge update which will be my final DOA2 release. Titled "Dead Or Alive 2: Final", this mod has-

1) FAR more unique custom character costumes
2) New altered dialogue to give characters new storylines
3) New music for various stages
4) Different stage layouts for characters to fight through via story mode
5) Character stances from DOA3 applied to certain characters
6) And more...

Here are some screenshots of the mod in action-

Bass is now the Nemesis from Resident Evil 3

The Bunny from Zack's Scenario now playable and Helena in her Opera dress

You can view my Youtube channel to see some videos of varying progress I've made- https://www.youtube.com/user/mrgreenranger . Note that with the costume videos, I've actually gone back and tweaked those costumes recently so they look a lot better now. The teaser trailer I posted last year (and the above screenshots) gives a good representation of what to expect.

Let me know if you like what you see so far, or if you have any questions. Once this project is released, I'm also hoping to gain the assistance/advice from this forum to help me in another project I'm looking to get back into.

Thanks for your time. :)

Interesting. Tho I can't say ima fan of Bass Nemesis. Or the Bunny. Looks scary

Another project? Advice? Would it happen to be another title in the same genre as DOA?

That looks pretty darn cool, I think DOA 2 might be my favorite in the series (though I prefer (gasp) the Xbox version, what with having had online play at once).

Every character needs a Dreamcast shirt.

Sweet, dude!

Can you make Zach have a Dennis Rodman jersey? (a Pistons one, not a stupid Bulls one.... Go Pistons!)

Or for Kasumi, how about something like Kasumi Todoh from King of Fighters?

Well if you play as them they aren't as scary, but if you play against them I can't guarantee your safety

The next project won't be another fighting game, I will see about getting back to translating Seven Mansions, provided that certain parameters are in place.

Hi GameOverYeah, at this time I won't be accepting requests for costumes to place in this particular mod. There is no available way to add more costume slots to a character, so my edits are currently replacing original costumes found in the game. I've already modified three of Zack's so I'm hoping that will suffice. :)

This is very cool, I like to see game mods like this. I was just playing some DOA2!

When you're ready to release this please post it here in our downloads section. Will it be released as a patch or a standalone iso?

Hey Green Ranger! I remember you and your DOA2 mods from dcforums.co.uk, I don't visit it in a while, I was mostly active around 2007-2009. Glad to see you here and rolling with more DOA2 mods!
