A quick Google search for the model number (SFL-2000P1) shows it's a prototype Dreamcast kiosk unit. Can't really find much else on it. Never seen this before. Very interesting.

NO WAY! This unit got sold for peanuts, sad to have found out about this after the auction ended!! It's a special unit which got used in dedicated Japanse internet cafe's back in the day!

And you appear to be right on what it is. I completely forgot about that small venture Sega did with the hardware. Remember reading about it on the Official US Magazine. Goodtimes.

How did these units load software? It doesn't seem like there is a disc drive.
And for that matter, where do you suppose the controller/keyboard ports would be?

Actually there is a DD which I think is located on the right side of the unit. You push in and the disc tray pops out.
