This is cool. I'd buy it for maybe 30 bucks. The cover page looks pretty unofficial, though I bet the hardware descriptions could be photocopies or original pages from a sega manual.

I think there's actually scans of this available. I know there's at least really extensive documentation on the processor the Dreamcast uses that has been scanned by someone. Not sure if it's a part of this or not, though.

I think the DC uses a lot of off the shelf parts, such as the hitachi SH4 cpu. I know there used to be non-sega specific technical docs on the hitachi website that dreamcast devs would link to in order to share info.

I can tell you for sure that the Dreamcast/Dev.Box System Architecture one is definitely available on the Internet and that that particular copy is just one that someone printed out. It isn't worth anything at all.

Hello bluecrab, are you the same guy from dcemulation ? I was happy to prove yes the gary echelon file was in retail smash pack besides back up cd. Are these worth getting, meaning is this how homebrewers figure out how to make "wolfenstein 32x" or "doom jaguar 32x" version roms and carts :



Should I buy them to help figure out how to make 32x homebrews or is that info on the web as well ?

I'm sure such things are online by now. I've never looked at 32x stuff, so I'm not sure where one would find it.

That said, without programming knowledge, they're pretty much useless.
