I will tell him you liked it gameplayer.

About bluecrab, I think it is the same version or build as his was. They both did get a cd that came with their devkits though. Did you ever find yours gameplayer?

I know it's still in my bedroom. But being that I'm a pack rat it could be in any one of three locations. And for that matter, I'm fairly confident I'd made a complete back-up of all the files on the CD to my old PC. So maybe tonight I'll hook-up and crank-up said old PC to verify that.

yo!

if you can find that CD it will be quite interesting knowing whats on it even if its just the same thing that has now been released. Interesting because if its a dreamcast bootable CD it means that the person you bought the Dev Kit off was pretty adept at making bootable DC files (so probably a DC fan or a Developer) but was content to sell the Dev Kit and the very rare stuff contained within, strange. alternatively he could have obtained the disc at the same time as he acquired the Dev kit so maybe had no idea what was going on and just sold it.

It seems strange that developers would not use GD's to burn game builds (apart from obvious cost differences but then again this was going to be a eidos release so bags of cash back then) as they would have access to heaps of GD's surely? but perhaps I am wrong

Hi, I'm a member of TTLG (We've been discussing this: http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=133250), A bunch of dedicated SS2 and Thief fans, and I was just wanting to thank game_player_s for releasing these lost treasures. Nobody knew that Eidos planned on having these games ported.

If anyone could possibly decompile these games, that would be awesome, and would be helpful for the current project OPDE (Link: http://sourceforge.net/projects/opde/), which will allow SS2 and Thief 2/1/G to run on other OS' and systems.

Of course, it isn't easy doing something like this, but I hope that this can be an end to several needs.

As Dr. McCoy would say,

"It's dead, Jim".

Referring to the SS2 & Thief2 ports. We are all sad that this is just not gonna happen.

Any news? Are there someone working on these games? SS2 for DC will be, someday, playable?
